Semi-Custom: Iridescence - trådverk

Semi-Custom: Iridescence

This is a deposit on a semi-custom handwoven piece. Please read the product description carefully before making the purchase.

Iridescence is made of 100% GOTS-certified organic wild mulberry silk, naturally dyed with indigo, lac, and buckthorn bark in deep shades of gold, scarlet, sky, and indigo.

Example images show the effect of weft colour on the look of the final fabric (scarves, in this case).

The fabric is woven at 0.8m width, and perfect for baby wraps, blankets, shawls, cowls, ponchos, and more. Weaving begins ends of August.

After care service

My handwovens are made to last a lifetime. But sometimes life can be rough, and a thread gets pulled and breaks, or your dog attempts to eat the fringe. Therefore, I offer a free repairs service for my handwovens for a year after purchase.

Washing Instructions

You can use the wool wash program of your washing machine, or gently wash by hand in lukewarm water using detergent or soap for wool and silk. Gently squeeze the suds through the fabric, taking care not to rub the fabric too much, and avoid steep changes in water temperature as this may cause shrinkage. Rinse the garment in clean water, squeezing gently without twisting or wringing. A short light spin in the washing machine will help remove most of the water. Dry naturally away from direct heat such as radiators and sunlight. Never use a tumble dryer! Press whilst damp, or with steam at medium setting to bring out the softness and lustre of silk.
