Climate Positive: We are actively sequestering more carbon than we are emitting. Our carbon sequestration actions include holistically managed grazing of silvo-pastures and grasslands. Together with the Swedish Agricultural University, we built a network of regenerative farms and gardens on Gotland to study the positive effects of regenerative farming practices on soil health, biodiversity, and soil carbon sequestration. You can help us by planting a tree here.
We are further reducing our carbon emissions by purchasing electricity only from renewable sources.
We love organic yarns and natural dyes: Our yarns are dyed on a wood-fired oven or the outside firepit. The wood is from our own forest. As a minimum requirement, any given yarn we work with must contain at least 60% of fibres from organic farming, or are made entirely by small communities or single families. Many of our yarns are GOTS certified organic. We do not work with yarns that contain plastic or that are super-wash treated. We use only natural dyes, mordants, and modifiers that are GOTS-approved.
Closed water cycle: We use water from our well, clean our wastewater on-farm, and then feed it back into the soil.
Responsible Packaging: Our packaging materials are either reused, recycled, of FSC certified. They are also 100% recyclable and compostable.
