Yarn from Uddvide Lammgård, 100% grown and spun on Gotland.
"Every day we enjoy cuddling with our small herd of sheep. We fell for Swedish Finewool Sheep because they have such a wonderfully soft and glossy wool. These curious and social animals feel like our family members, so of course, they all got their own name!
The Finewool Sheep is an old Swedish native breed that is adapted to our harsh climate. The wool is excellent for use in close-fitting garments, and comes in natural white, black and brown. The grey yarn is a mixture of white and black wool which makes it beautifully mottled. During the summer, the black sheep wool gets slightly sun-bleached at the tops, and therefore the yarn tones down to a deep chocolate brown.
We live with our animals in the most beautiful place on earth - at least in our eyes - Uddvide Lammgård, located on the southern part of the magical island Gotland. In addition to the sheep, some ducks, chickens and a few bee colonies live here with us. We manage the farm in great closeness and care for the animals and nature." Emma Styhr, Uddvide Lammgård

I use only colours and fibres from nature: Walnut husks, indigo, buckthorn bark and madder roots as my go-to dyestuff. And yarns that I carefully source from environmental and ethical initiatives, and from small family farms.Learn more
You can use the wool wash program of your washing machine, or gently wash by hand in lukewarm water using detergent or soap for wool and silk. Gently squeeze the suds through the fabric, taking care not to rub the fabric too much, and avoid steep changes in water temperature as this may cause shrinkage. Rinse the garment in clean water, squeezing gently without twisting or wringing. A short light spin in the washing machine will help remove most of the water. Dry naturally away from direct heat such as radiators and sunlight. Never use a tumble dryer!Buy Washing Soap
